Linda Tesner

writing
Written, published discourse is a critical component of art history, and it is one of my great professional joys to write about contemporary art and artists. My publication record comprises more than eighty monographs, catalogue essays, and reviews to date. I conduct studio visits, extensive conversations, and documentary research to inform a considered perspective on the subject at hand.
I am available to write artist monographs, text for gallery and museum publications, or to provide project management and support for your publication.

CollectionS development & management
It is a great pleasure to collaborate with collectors—whether just starting out or long experienced, and at all budget levels—in acquiring new work. I have more than twenty-five years of experience managing private, corporate, and public collections. I rely on comprehensive knowledge of art history and the contemporary art market to help collectors to make choices that are both aesthetically pleasing and fiscally smart. Please contact me to discuss my past experience and learn how I might work with you to develop a deeply personal and satisfying art collection.

Secondary market
As collections grow and tastes are refined, it is sometimes appropriate to edit out artwork and offer it for resale. I have extensive experience placing artwork on the secondary market and negotiating the best possible return on the collector’s investment, whether selling artwork through a gallery, at auction, or via direct sale to another collector.
